Learning Designs was tasked with developing a learning system to ensure that Myriad sales personnel can effectively discuss the technical aspects of its test for genetic alterations predictive of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
The Result
Learning Designs developed the Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) Learning System to help Myriad sales personnel develop and expand their technical molecular biology and oncology knowledge. Among others, the learning system components addressed:
- The evolving field of genetic testing
- Development of hereditary cancers
- Cancer risk categories
- Genetic mutations associated with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer
- BRCA mutations and risk of different cancer types
- Benefits and limitations of genetic testing
- Interpreting genetic test results
