The Client: Cochlear Americas
Create a plan outlining a leadership development program to build key competencies among Cochlear’s emerging leaders
The Strategic Leadership Development Framework was created in response to executive leadership establishing a strategic goal to build greater competence and leadership abilities among Cochlear management personnel. To help Cochlear build the appropriate competencies within its management and achieve its strategic goals, Learning Designs outlined a management development framework that provided a “roadmap” for Cochlear’s management. The plan ensured a foundation of learning for continuous improvement on the job. It also aligned development efforts with Cochlear’s overall business strategy and focused training and development efforts on enhancing the effectiveness and competitiveness of all segments of the Cochlear organization to make certain that it met its strategic goals.
The Client: Spectrum Pharmaceuticals
Develop a learning system to encompass the needs of Spectrum field personnel as they present a range of products to oncologists and hematologists
The Spectrum Oncology Learning System presents current information on a variety of disease states (hematologic cancers and solid tumors), diagnostic and treatment approaches, Spectrum products, and the market for those products. The system includes multiple modules and is continually expanding as new products and indications are launched by Spectrum. The system includes:
American Funds from Capital Group
Develop a learning system to provide American Funds personnel with necessary information regarding various retirement products
The Retirement Products Training System that LDI created provided up-to-date information regarding individual and employee sponsored retirement products. It was designed to be presented in an online format that consistently applied the principles of adult learning. LDI collaborated with American Funds to develop application exercises to be incorporated into the online modules. The training system included:

Develop a leadership training program for managers
Learning Designs created a program, FASTrack One: Foundation of Toshiba Leadership, that was the foundation for all leadership training given to managers at Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS). The three-day seminar focused on key strategic goals of the TABS organization. The material centered on the following areas:
As United Therapeutics expanded its product line-up and leadership in providing treatments for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), they needed a comprehensive training system that encompassed new hire training, product and sales training
Learning Designs created a framework for an online university that allowed United Therapeutics to organize a wide variety of materials and activities systematically into a single site that was easily accessible to representatives and managers throughout its sales force. In addition to developing new content material, Learning Designs was able to take advantage of existing material from United Therapeutics, thus saving on cost. The curriculum was also designed to accommodate personnel with different levels of experience by providing information pathways that allowed the user to choose the level of detail during module reviews.

Develop a learning system to ensure that Myriad sales personnel can effectively discuss the technical aspects of its test for genetic alterations predictive of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer
